May Tully

May Tully was one of the performers who found success in vaudeville even though they didn't sing, dance, tell jokes, juggle or do tricks.  May wrote, directed and starred in a series of one act plays that vaudeville often booked for the third spot on the bill.  She made the transition to silent films as a scenario writer and director before her untimely death in 1924.
